Privacy notice

This notice describes information used by the Rocky Sands website and the current multiplayer game.

Who operates the game

Rocky Sands is operated by the Rocky Sands developer. For support, privacy questions, or a request concerning your information, contact mjmchub2@gmail.com.

Information used

• Account sign-in: Epic Online Services handles Epic Games authentication. The application requests basic-profile access. Epic provides account identifiers and authentication tokens so the game can verify your identity. Rocky Sands does not receive your Epic Games password and does not request your friends list, presence, or country permissions.
• Multiplayer sessions: the server processes your game account identifier, connection address, arrival assignment, movement, inventory, and other session state to run the shared world and prevent duplicate account connections.
• Operations: the website and game server may generate connection, error, and diagnostic logs, which can include IP addresses and technical information about a connection.
• Support: if you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include.

How information is used

Information is used to sign you in, connect you to official servers, provide account-linked arrivals, synchronize gameplay, respond to support requests, and diagnose or prevent connection problems and misuse. The current website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. We do not sell player information or use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers and other players

Epic Games provides authentication and account services. Amazon Web Services hosts the website and official server in the United States. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Other players can see gameplay information needed for multiplayer, such as your character's position and actions. Public server listings show server names, regions, addresses, and player counts; they do not list your account identifiers or sign-in tokens.

Storage and retention

Information is kept for the operation of the game, support, and security, and is removed when it is no longer needed for those purposes. The current game keeps active session state in server memory. Account-linked arrivals are calculated from the verified account identifier and a server-specific seed. Operational logs and support correspondence can remain after a session ends. Service providers may retain their own records according to their policies.

Your choices and requests

You can stop using the game, manage connected applications through your Epic Games account, or contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held by Rocky Sands. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account. Some records may need to be retained for security or legal reasons. Epic account requests should also be directed to Epic Games where appropriate.

Children

Rocky Sands is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Rocky Sands, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes

The game is in development. If the way it handles information changes, this notice will be updated with a new date.
